When looking at the structure and the layers of a society, I found there’s not just one big society, (duh!)but lots of different small groups or communities or organisations.
Hmm, I know.
I was invited to a social event to a members only club. When I first arrived, the building doesn’t look like it has been furnished inside because all the windows are nailed with wood.
But the thing is, there is a club inside, and it was a nice one.
Same thing happened a few days later that I visited some other ‘special’ places.
But why people make it special?
I think human being is a specie that they like priorities. Even if in all the political systems, they claim to progress equality. To me, that seems to be another way of saying that, ‘if you vote for me, you are different from the others. Because you are supporting something that the other candidate won’t be able to provide.’
Isn’t that a different form of offering priorities?
Speaking about people want to feel special, we always long for things we don’t have. Chinese girls wants white skin, phone manufactures producing costumed headsets with gold and diamonds, and so on. And the media obviously taking part of the blame.
See what’s on the advertisements, but it’s human nature not being satisfied by the way they are. However I do see the society is constructed with different functions. Different kind of personnel just should be used in each of their specialties.
Even the language is making us special. Yet this is what drives the society ahead, people chase for things that they don’t have, and when they have it, they chase for something else.
But yet when comes to how people chase after the spectacle, it will be inevitable that there will be European models showing up in non-european countries’ advertisements. This is the way to make a product look different, by showing the product along with something that don’t usually show up in your daily life. Not just foreign models, but also exceptionally beautiful boys and girls.
More recently, I started to see more average people in the advertisements, putting a not that beautiful face in front of us, reminding us this is how life is like, and that’s why you need this product. I am very much encouraged, isn’t this more down to earth promoting strategy?
